Can I have some computer help please?

Every time I insert my memory card from my camera into my computer it freezes when I try to upload my pictures. I've tried copy & pasting them from the computer file, and just simply clicking the upload button. Every time it freezes I have to do Ctrl+Alt+Delete to get out of it, and once I get out, the bar at the bottom of my computer that shows everything I have open disappears along with everything on my desktop. I've tried turning it off for a while, and trying again, but it still does this. Any help would be appreciated.
