Keys stopped working after spill on keyboard?

i spilled some alcohol on my keyboard of my laptop and now the x,c,v, left ctrl, caps lock and the mouse touchpad dont work... i suspect the damage is permanent, anyone with any experience can confirm or deny or have any tips or suggested courses of action? external keyboard and mouse is all i can think of.. the damage was done 2 nights ago and the keys still dont work, i dont think they will
