Does an Armor Officer wear a tanker uniform?

I understand that tankers wear a different uniform and camouflage rather than a regular soldier. They are made of a thin, lightweight material and are solid color. They wear the usual top layers though. I also understand that an OFFICER is not always in the tank and in fact are usually just facilitating tank operations. And finally I have heard that Armor Officers work with other vehicular operations besides tanks. Does this mean that they don't wear tanker uniforms? Do they use both but at different times? Whats the story with this?
