Betta fin: Blown or bitten (video included)?

Looks to me like he caught it on something or something in your water caused his tail to split. Those are splits, not nips/chunks taken from another betta. Check your water parameters. Keep his water pristine, and they should heal themselves in no time - but keep an eye out for fin rot, because he'll be susceptible. But it should heal fine.
