Laptop, Y U NO WORK!?

My laptop is a "Dell Latitude D610" and it says "A disk read error has occurred Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart" whenever I turn the computer on. "Ctrl+Alt+Del" doesn't work and I have tried pressing "F2" or "F12" when it starts up to look for the problem but I can't get it to work properly or even figure out what is worng with it. I have looked for anything suspicious in the "Setup" (F2) and have found nothing. Also nothing from the "Boot Menu" (F12) works. Any advice that doesn't involve the loss of my data would be VERY appreciated!
